Thoughts from the Editor-In-Chief

 

Lebron James says he will resume his career in Miami alongside D. Wade and Chris Bosch! The question that everyone is debating is did “King James” go for the easy way out? And if he doesn’t win a championship with the Heat this season will it ruin his legacy? Whose team is it now…Wades or Lebrons? Will Wade County stay in tact or will Lebron mania takeover? I don’t know…but here are my thoughts!

 

I think Lebron took the easy way out! I understand the need and the desire to win a championship, but I think that he would have solidified his legacy by doing it in Cleveland. I can’t speculate on what the real reasons are…maybe that Delonte West horror-sode sealed the deal in last years playoffs! I mean I wouldn’t want to play with somebody…”team-mate”, who is rumored to be romantically involved with my mom! Maybe he was tired of carrying the Cavs on his back with virtually NO HELP!!! Just maybe it was his time to leave. Only Lebron knows for sure but I know this…IF HE DOES NOT WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP WITH THE MIAMI HEAT…REGARDLESS OF HIS STATS AND ACHIEVEMENTS…LEBRON MAYBE THE BIGGEST BUST THAT THE NBA HAS SEEN SINCE MAYBE A HAROLD MINER OR A J.R. RIDER! Am I being overly critical? Maybe…but I don’t think that it was a good move!

 

However, I won’t be quick to say that it’s all Lebrons fault. The Cavalier organization has some share of the blame as well! You got the BEST PLAYER in the league on your team…and you build a semi-pro squad around him! I mean…lets face it…his supporting cast are good role players…but not superstars! Lebron didn’t have a Pippen like Mike or a Stockton like Malone, or a Worthy like Magic! If Cleveland was really serious about winning a chip…why didn’t they go out and get Wade? Why didn’t they go after a Pierce? All great dynasties had at least 2 superstars! Name me another superstar on Cleveland? Don’t worry…I’ll wait!!! Still waiting!!!

 

I am eager to see what the 2010-2011 season brings. The one thing I know is that if Bron-Bron don’t win a championship this year…it will all be for nothing! The fans won’t remember a champion but a guy who took the easy way out too early in his career! I sure hope it all works out!
